The department also oversees the transportation of critically ill patients, offering both ground and air ambulance services, and serves as the central hub for disaster management.

Location and Infrastructure

The Emergency Department is strategically positioned close to the radiology department, blood bank, and laboratory to ensure a smooth and time-efficient workflow.

Dedicated Corridor: A specialized corridor ensures the rapid and secure transport of critically ill patients within the hospital.

Pre-Hospital Care

Ambulance Services: The hospital operates two state-of-the-art ambulances with basic life support (BLS) capabilities—providing top-notch pre-hospital care.

Staffing

Emergency Room Team: The ED at ANS Super Specialty Hospital is staffed by emergency-trained physicians and nurses, with 24/7 support from on-call specialists.

Point of Care Testing

Laboratory Capabilities: The ED offers on-site testing for arterial blood gases (ABG) with electrolytes, lactate, and glucose levels, as well as cardiac markers including Troponin I, Troponin T, CK-MB, and Myoglobin. Additional tests available include NT-proBNP, toxicology screens, urine ketones, procalcitonin levels, and alcohol analysis through breath or saliva.

Disaster Preparedness

Disaster Plan: The hospital has a comprehensive disaster response plan and maintains a ready stock to handle up to 30 disaster victims simultaneously.

Cardiac Arrest Response

Cardiac Arrest Team: The ED is an integral part of the hospital’s cardiac arrest medical emergency team, ensuring prompt response to cardiac emergencies.
